2023 China Chief Data Officer Study

Following the release of Global Chief Data Officers (CDO) Study in March, 2023, to gain deeper understanding of the status of Chinese companies, we launched the first China CDO Study. We conducted a study of the 2,500 largest publicly listed companies in China, which involved a thorough analysis of their latest annual reports with the aim of gaining insights into the appointments of CDOs in these companies and their respective data management priorities. Meanwhile, we also invited 86 leading Chinese companies to participate in our study, allowing us to deep dive the minds of prominent Chinese CDOs in specific areas concerning role positioning, work agenda, team capability building and culture development.
