At present, globalization and international industrial layout are in a profound change cycle, the factors affecting the adjustment of the global industrial chain are gradually changing, and more and more multinational enterprises are considering economic efficiency while taking the pursuit of industrial safety, independent controllability and sustainable development as important considerations for supply chain layout.
In this context, PwC's Senior Executive Breakfast in March this year focused on the Asia-Pacific supply chain transformation and conducted an on-site survey of more than 100 multinational senior executives to understand their assessment of the attractiveness of China's supply chain, as well as the future plans and challenges faced by multinational companies in terms of China's supply chain strategy.
The survey found that more than 70% of the surveyed multinational senior executives highly recognize the unique advantages of China's supply chain and will continue to cultivate the Chinese market, but at the same time, multinational enterprises are also facing problems such as uncertain geographical situation, slowing market growth and rising operating costs, and some foreign investors are considering adjusting their supply chain layout in China. The report also further sheds light on the digital, ESG (environmental, social and governance) and talent challenges faced by multinational enterprises in supply chain operations, and provides in-depth discussions on solutions to related issues.
