Zhujun Xu

Background

Zhujun is a tax partner of US tax consulting group in PwC China’s Shanghai office. She has over 10 years of experience in providing US tax consulting, compliance, and tax accounting services to multinational and local clients in several major industries, including financial services, investment management, pharmaceuticals, TMT, cross boarder e-commerce, logistics, manufacturing, and etc.

Relevant experience

Zhujun’s area of specialization include, among others, providing US tax consulting services to off-shore private equity and/or venture capital funds, advising on fund structure and assisting with legal documentation review at the fund’s formation stage, with the aim of US and/or non-US general partner(s) and investors achieving optimal tax implication; advising on US tax issues to China companies entering the US market or making investments in the US, including entity type, holding and funding structure, location of IP, US tax compliance obligations, and other M&A related issues; advising on US tax implications of restructuring transactions; advising on US tax issues concerning US individuals owning businesses in non-US jurisdictions such as China.

Zhujun has extensively involved in US tax compliance services including US federal and state tax return filings for partnerships and corporations as well as US information return filings for US individuals with respect to their investments.

Qualifications

Zhujun earned her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from University of Minnesota. Zhujun is a Certified Public Accountant in the US.
