Background

• Windy Li is an International Tax Partner in the tax and business advisory team of PwC China Beijing office. She is providing international tax and business advisory services to founders, MNC groups, investment funds, high net worth individuals and their family offices with cross border investment.
• She was on secondment with PwC’s New York office from Dec 2012 to Jan 2015 and practicing U.S. tax with the International Tax Services / Value Chain Transformation team. She provided U.S. and international tax consulting services to top U.S. MNCs and inbound investors from China.

Relevant experiences

• Windy has extensive experiences in China and International tax consulting services related to cross border trading, e-commerce business, greenfield investment, merges and acquisitions activities, REITs, IPO, de-listing from US stock market, etc. She practices a lot of tax projects related to location study, financial and tax incentives assessment and application, holding structure and business model planning, IP planning, group restructuring and value chain transformation, ESOP arrangement, family trust consulting, cash repatriation and foreign exchange outward remittance, tax audit, tax de-registration, tax accounting consulting, etc.
• Windy is an expert in the recent hot tax topics such as Pillar Two, CRS, Economic Substance, OBOR investment, Sino-US trade dispute, who is a frequent contributor to thought leadership articles and a popular speaker at various seminars and events.

Qualifications

• Windy is a bachelor of Shanghai University of Finance and Economics and a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA). She studied U.S. taxation at the University of Southern California.
