William Xu is a Tax Partner of PwC Chengdu. William started his professional career with the tax department of PwC Shanghai office in 2001, and he was engaged in tax and business consulting services in PwC Shanghai, Beijing and London offices, where he handled a variety of cases and accumulated a lot of practical experience.
William is now based in Chengdu office and focusing on providing one stop solution of China tax and business advisory service to clients in south-western region. In addition, as the office leader, he is also responsible for coordinating and leveraging PwC platform and network to help clients solve daily operational difficulties and enhance shareholder values.
William has been assisting Chinese domestic companies and multinational companies located in China in various projects. Such experience includes reviewing and evaluating tax and transfer pricing risks, assisting in designing and optimizing tax structure, advising on group restructuring and business restructuring, and assisting in communicating with tax authority to resolve potential tax controversies.
William holds a bachelor degree of Shanghai University of Finance and Economics and a MBA degree of Arizona State University. William is a member of the PRC Institute of Certified Tax Experts.
