Steven Xu

Steven Xu is a Deals partner at PwC China, specialising in deal advisory, valuation and financial modelling. Steven has been extensively involved in M&A advisory projects and valuation and modelling assignments for deal pricing, investment and financing, joint venture formation, greenfield investment, distress situation management and tax/accounting planning purposes. In recent years, he serves numerous domestic clients in connection with their outbound transactions.

Steven also has significant experience in handling fair value measurement-related financial reporting matters, such as business combinations, impairment tests, share-based payment, financial instruments, investment properties as well as expected credit loss assessment in connection with clients’ IPO or transactions in major capital markets such as Mainland China, Hong Kong and the US. 

He is a tutor and regular speaker on valuation and financing in PwC China’s Startup Incubator Program. He actively participates in various valuation studies and has been invited to deliver training at various workshops and seminars hosted by the China State Administrative of Taxation (SAT), China Securities Regulatory Commission (CSRC), China Appraisal Society (CAS) as well as certain provincial level State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission (SASAC).

Steven received his Master's degree in Economics from Fudan University in Shanghai, China. He is a Certified Financial Analyst (CFA) charter holder, China Public Valuer (CPV) and has passed the National Judicial Examination of China.
