Simon Booker leads our work in the Capital Projects and Infrastructure sector. He has twenty years experience assisting clients with investment and procurement decisions, economic, financial, and valuation analyses related to infrastructure, disputes and regulatory scrutiny of their businesses. He has advised governments, bidders and lenders on how best to procure, or bid for capital projects and infrastructure assets in Hong Kong, China, Asia, Europe, Africa and Canada.
Prior to joining PwC, Simon held positions within another Big 4 firm in London and Hong Kong, and in the UK Government, where he worked in infrastructure and competition roles as an advisor to the UK Chancellor of the Exchequer.
Simon has advised the Government of the HKSAR on key infrastructure developments including Disneyland, Ocean Park, Asia World Expo, Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, water treatment facilities, rail infrastructure, education and hospital projects. He has assisted clients in a variety of industries, including property, real estate, infrastructure with a specific focus on aviation, roads and rail, regulated markets including telecommunications, water, transport and energy, healthcare, pharmaceuticals, government and public sector.
Simon holds degrees in Economics and sits on the Business Policy Committee of the British Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong and has taught courses at institutions and conferences, including programs at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology.
