Peter is a Partner in the Financial Services Transfer Pricing (TP) team with over 14 years of international tax and transfer pricing experience. Peter has specialised in transfer pricing for financial institutions since 2005. This work has ranged from TP documentation and TP end to end implementation projects to audit defence and APAs as well as work on both the management of permanent establishment thresholds and the attribution of profits to permanent establishments.
Peter also has extensive M&A experience for both private equity and corporate buyers and vendors extracting value from optimising transfer pricing and minimising risk in the pre-deal, transactional due diligence and post deal integration phases of major corporate acquisitions.
Prior to working in Hong Kong, Peter spent 10 years working in London for PwC UK, where latterly he led the UK firm's asset management transfer pricing business, three years working in Tokyo of PwC Japan and one year with the PwC US team in San Francisco on a variety of international tax and transfer pricing projects in the financial services and technology sectors.
Peter is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants for England and Wales. He has spoken regularly on transfer pricing at conferences and has regularly published articles on transfer pricing for various journals, as well as PwC publications. He also guest lectured on transfer pricing at Temple University Law School in Japan.
