Oliver Kang

Oliver started his professional career as a tax advisor since 2000.  Oliver has extensive knowledge and experience in business and tax consulting.  He is a member of the domestic tax services and financial services team in Beijing.
  
Oliver has ample experience in providing tax advice in relation to cross-border investment, business and tax advisory for many leading clients a number of industries.  His clientele comes from a broad range of industries, many of which are significant investors into China.  His client portfolio includes:

• Fortune 500 high-tech companies and their wholly owned subsidiaries in China.  He assisted the clients in deriving new tax efficient transaction models, M&A transactions, obtaining favourable tax preferences, VAT refund, business tax exemption and refund, tax audits, representative offices closure and individual tax (stock options) tax advice;
    
• A number of domestic listed companies: Oliver assists the clients in business reorganisation to spin-off a part of its existing business;
    
• Assist offshore and domestic VC/PE funds in formulating fund management structure and investment holding structure; and
    
• Involved in the development of domestic real estate investment trust in relation to the product design and review of tax model.

Oliver is a member of China Institute of Certified Public Accountants (CICPA).
