Kathleen joined PwC Hong Kong in 2008 and has since established herself as a Tax Partner with extensive expertise in Hong Kong tax advisory and compliance services. She serves as the Asia Pacific tax contact for both multinational and China-based clients, offering guidance on group restructuring, tax planning for inbound and outbound investments, due diligence for M&A transactions, and onshore and offshore holding structuring. Her proficiency extends to the application of tax treaty benefits, tax audits, investigations, and negotiations with tax authorities.
As the champion partner for Hong Kong's Foreign Source Income Exemption (FSIE) reform, Kathleen possesses deep insights into stakeholder consultations involving various industries, the Hong Kong SAR Government, and the Inland Revenue Department.
Kathleen also specialises in the Common Reporting Standard (CRS) projects for diverse financial institutions, including banks, insurance companies, funds, real estate investment trusts (REITs) and trusts, as well as non-financial institution clients.
Kathleen frequently participates in public tax seminars and workshops organised by PwC, various business associations, and government bodies. She holds a Master's degree in Finance from the University of Hong Kong and is council member of The Tax Institution of Hong Kong (TIHK), a committee member of the Hong Kong Fukien Chamber of Commerce, and a member of the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants (HKICPA).
