James Tam is a partner specialising in the Banking and Capital Markets sector of the Financial Services Practice in Hong Kong. He has more than 19 years of experience in providing assurance and advisory services to global and local financial institutions mainly in London, Hong Kong, China and Macau.
James has extensive experience in a wide variety of advisory and consultancy work for banking and securities institutions, including advising on restructuring and integration, M&As, due diligence, diagnostic reviews, loan portfolio quality appraisals, investigations, risk management, regulatory compliance, governance and control framework in Hong Kong, China and a number of Asian countries. He has also performed a number of regulatory projects and administration work commissioned by the Hong Kong Monetary Authority and the Securities and Futures Commission.
He is a Chartered Accountant (ACA) of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) and also a member of the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants (HKICPA).
