Faye Yu

Faye Yu is an experienced Partner within PwC’s Tax and Business Advisory team based in China. Her principal focus is on Workforce Tax practice.  

Faye has extensive experience in providing tailor-made international individual income tax planning, human resources consulting as well as business advisory services to multi-national corporations, Chinese enterprises as well as high net-worth individuals and families. 

She has significant local tax dispute resolution experience and provides practical solution in tax controversial issues for both business and private clients during corporate restructuring, mergers and acquisition, tax due diligence, share transfer, IPOs, etc. with considerations of business model, local tax incentives, foreign exchange control, tax treaty analysis, cross-border taxation.  

She maintains a diverse portfolio of clients advising them on how to manage their employment costs, associated employment tax during diversified mobile workforce, employment risk controls and rewards issues.

She has in-depth experience in advising private and public companies on reward strategy especially the design and implementation of equity incentive schemes, employment structure, benefits & reward policies from global taxation efficiency perspective.

She provides specialist support to high net-worth individuals and family offices including tax planning, family wealth and business succession planning to achieve their specific personal, family and business goals by using trusts, insurance and other appropriate structures in the simplest way possible whilst ensuring the compliance from the common reporting standards, specific immigration requirements and international tax angles. 

She is also a frequent speaker at tax symposiums, wealth forums, tax internal workshops organized by government.

Faye is a Certified Tax Agent in China. She is also a US Enrolled Tax Agent authorized by IRS.
