Amy Cai

Amy Cai currently leads the ESG Sustainability business in PwC China. She started her career in the US and has been working in China for over 20 years. In her earlier career, she worked in the Silicon Valley helping high tech companies establishing their global presence in Asia and Europe. When she came to Shanghai in 2002, she assisted many MNCs to expand their operations in China and also established local networks with Chinese companies as well as regulators.

In 2016, she became the head of Priority Services with an aim to develop innovative new businesses with significant social purpose. In the last 8 years, she led the team to develop several innovation initiatives developing smart and sustainable solutions for clients, covering MNC and local companies with global operations. In 2022 PwC China was the first large professional firm in China to launch a dedicated ESG Sustainability service team with over 500 professionals. She led the team to develop the first ESG integrated digital tool, the Emissions Tracker, which was highly recognised by clients, regulators and institutions. The tool has been launched in PwC network around the world. The Sustainability team has also built strong credentials in all the different industries such as green energy, auto, offering services include reporting, environmental due diligence, risk management, sustainable supply chain, workforce, governance and full scope Carbon data analytics. She is an innovative leader and her network reaches corporate executives, government and SOEs, NGOs as well as institutions.

She was a Management Board member for PwC China from 2019-2024. Amy is a member of American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and a licensed Certified Public Accountant in the State of Pennsylvania.
