My name is Qiang Lei. I joined PwC in 2017 and I am part of the Advisory team.

I have always known that PwC has diverse businesses that don’t have restrictions on your professional backgrounds. I was also particularly interested in consulting, which is why I chose to join PwC.

Engaging in consulting will help you gain exposure to different industries and enterprises. Even though I don’t have a business background, I don’t limit myself in what I can do, and because of my experience with PwC, I have gained more confidence to venture into uncharted fields. When I encountered the manufacturing industry and engineering projects at work, my experience in energy and power are of great help to me. For example, I know the industry well, which means I am highly efficient when I communicate with experts. I remember one particular project related to the transformation of a traditional boiler factory where I made full use of my expertise.

At PwC, every one of us has a career coach and buddy to communicate with at any time for guidance and assistance. In addition, we can also talk to the partners. Our partner often says: Look at my office. The door is always open as long as I am here!
