Join us through Edge Programme
"PwC is like the Whampoa Military Academy in the business community. I can actively learn professional knowledge, accumulate project experience, and cultivate my professionalism, to become a trusted advisor.”
My name is John. I joined the PwC Game Changer family through Edge - the PwC Deals graduate programme for the Asia Pacific in 2020.
I was attracted to the firm's international background, platform and vision. I choose PwC and it was a good fit for me as a returning overseas student, and it turns out to be an appropriate starting point for my career. PwC is like the Whampoa Military Academy in the business community. Through a variety of projects, I can actively learn professional knowledge, accumulate project experience, and cultivate my professionalism, to become a trusted advisor.
Edge, the PwC Deals graduate programme for the Asia Pacific, is a three-year rotation project set up by Deals. In the first and second years, project members will rotate in different Deals business units in their local city. In the third year, they will have the opportunity to exchange to other countries in the Asia Pacific, such as South Korea, Japan, Singapore, etc.
In April 2021, the project leader of Edge organised a one-week training for all the colleagues in Asia-Pacific who joined the project in 2020. The other four members of my team were from Singapore, Japan, New Zealand, and Australia. During the training, we work together to overcome the difficulties and proved ourselves to the coach and colleagues. On the last day, the nine members from China showed us the traditional Chinese culture of paper cutting and taught colleagues from other countries how to complete the paper cutting exercises of Shuangxi and Snowflake. After the pandemic, I look forward to meeting my colleagues and going to other countries, to experience working in our different offices, cementing our friendship and building bridges of collaboration.
